Our photography exhibition, FRAME, documenting how Asia Pacific feminist filmmakers are using film to address inequalities, opened in Sydney, Australia, as part of the Sydney Film Festival from June 5th to 16th at the Lower Town Hall. The stories of these women are being heard around the globe and we are so happy to have been a part of this important moment in history.

FRAME Opening in Berlin, Germany at the Australian Embassy // 69th Berlinale

Our photography exhibition, FRAME, documenting how Asia Pacific feminist filmmakers are using film to address inequalities, opened in Berlin, during the 69th Berlinale. We’re ecstatic at all the attention the show is getting and that these women’s stories are being seen and shared. And we’re so grateful to the other FRAME collective members, Jane Sloane and Maxine Williamson, and also Maryanne Redpath, plus all the fierce feminist directors we’ve worked with, who have helped keep this project moving forward!

FRAME will be up at the Australian Embassy in Berlin until March 29, 2019. And then there’s whispers of Sydney… and NYC… stay tuned!

Photo Diary // Traveling in Australia with Juni + Wild

2018 was a year of adventure for our family. Juni started preschool, Wild started walking. The kids hop-scotched through Asia with us, collecting six stamps in their passport. Our last stop was Australia, where we had more photo shoots with feminist filmmakers, and an exhibition of our photographs in Brisbane. It was an exciting moment to enjoy the fruits of our labors. With over six weeks of travel this year, the kids had a lot of time together and became seasoned travelers.

By far the most rewarding part of the year was watching Juni + Wild fall in love with each other and learn to play together. One of our biggest hopes as parents is that our kids will be best friends. It happened in a big way this year, and we couldn’t be more happy for them.

2019: bring on more love, more hugs, not only between siblings, but for all humans, all animals and our beautiful planet earth. Happy New Year, loves!
