Secret Concert on Mt. Tam

As wedding photographers, most weekends you'll find us documenting a first kiss at the Mark Hopkins or getting playful bridal party photos, with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. But when a free weekend does pop up, we make sure to get out of San Francisco and get some nature time.

Last Sunday we were invited to a secret concert on Mt. Tam with two awesome bands, Tiny Home and TaughtMe. The map to the secret "stage" included photos of treetops and rock piles. After a hike into the park, we arrived at the most beautiful natural amphitheater we'd ever seen, with a huge tree as the stage, and a backdrop of the Pacific Ocean. Truly idyllic.

And with the addition of live music, as the sun dipped into the sea, we could not have asked for a more gorgeous day. Enjoy the photos :)

Monday: Finding Focus

This weekend was one of pure perfection. We saw our friend Suzanne Schwind's violin students play at the farmers' market, visited our dear friend Gail Ritchie's ceramic booth at the Civic Center, and joined in for the SF LitCrawl (drag queens reading celebrity tweets -- yes please!). On Sunday we took a sun-soaked hike on Mt. Tam with Uncle Joe and then made our way to a secret "stage," overlooking the ocean, for one of the most magical concerts we've even been to, with performances by Tiny Home and TaughtMe.

It was a wonderful mix of cultural and musical adventures and we feel so thankful to live in such a vibrant and creative community. We'll post more photos from all these events later this week, but here is just a taste of the enchanting concert on Mt. Tam :)

Citizen Jane

A very dear friend of ours, Jane Sloane, has recently published her first book: Citizen Jane. It is a wonderful exploration of her life in the world of social justice and is totally inspiring! We would highly recommend checking it out, especially if you are interested in work focused on making a positive difference in the world.
