Our niece, Alia, and nephew, Eli, came to visit us from Alaska last week! We had some truly gorgeous summer days in the Bay Area and took advantage of the sunshine, focusing our time on outdoor adventures, including a visit to beautiful Point Reyes National Seashore :) Our dear friend Suzanne also joined us and we thought we'd share a few photos from our sunny hike.

Nesting Doves

Last year, two mourning doves nested on our back steps and raised three chickatee-chicks. And this year they are back :) We're excited to share photos as this little bird family grows.

One of the best parts of working from home means we get to eat home cooked meals almost every day. Last week, I put together this simple lunch and Sam felt like all the colors complemented each other nicely -- almost like a color inspiration board for a wedding ;) So he had to take a photo, and we thought we'd share it all with you.
