There are few places more majestic in California than the Sierra mountains, so for an adventure-driven and wilderness-loving couple, getting married at Sugar Bowl Resort near Lake Tahoe was a dream! Their feet occasionally crunched on leftover snow during the first look, and S + D said their vows beneath the canopy of towering evergreens with the sun streaming through. Talk about magical photo ops: warm weather AND snow! Paradise!

Having vacationed together at Sugar Bowl over the years, the location was special for the happy couple. You could tell by how relaxed and joyous they were all day, that not only had they picked the right place to get married, these two had picked the perfect partners: they are clearly meant for each other.

S + D are such genuine and sweet souls. We enjoyed photographing every moment of their wedding day: their giddy preparations, the intimate and meaningful ketubah signing ceremony, the breathtaking cocktail hour at the mountain lookout point, the non-stop dance moves all night long, and the dazzling sparkler departure! A wonderful time was had by all :)

Traveling with Kids in California // Point Reyes National Seashore

Sweet baby Wilder joined our family in May (on our wedding anniversary no less!) and we are over the moon to have this little man in our family! He is incredible and Juniper is so excited to be a big sister, and especially loves to announce when "he is awake!" so she can cover him with cuddles and kisses. The summer has been filled with lots of time outdoors and now have double the reason to blog about all our favorite places to visit in California with our little ones. Some are day trips and others overnights. Hope you'll join us for the fun! 

Besides an overnight in Tahoe for his parents' work, Wilder's first road trip was to Point Reyes National Seashore. This is one of our most dear nature spots and we try to make the journey out there as much as possible. The fun part (once we embrace it) about traveling with kids is that everything slows down. It take a little more time to get there in the car (potty + breastfeeding stops), and when we finally arrived, it felt like we spent most of the time at the same picnic spot (next to an EPIC bay laurel tree, why would you want to leave?). Then a half mile hike to a magical re-created Miwok Village, Kule Loklo, filled with underground sweat lodges and teepees, and it's almost time for dinner! On the way home, we stopped to say "hi" to some cows and then had "dinner" at the Scoop in Fairfax, we recommend their strawberry -  best on the planet.

We hope you get the chance to visit Pt. Reyes with your kiddos as well, and draw some inspiration from our photo diary! Also, if you and your family ever want to go on a day trip and have us capture some stellar, candid memories, that's our thing. We'd love to tag along - especially if we stop for ice cream.

For the last year we have been photographing Compass Real Estate Agents as they join the SF team :) It's been so much fun, especially since real estate agents are super friendly, personable and playful! We took most of these at beautiful Cavallo Point in Sausalito, the perfect backdrop to highlight all their stellar smiles! Here's just a little sample of some of the agents we've photographed so far. Family Photo Session in Glen Canyon // San Francisco Family Photographer

Almost four years ago we met Jessica at a bridal show in downtown San Francisco. We ended up chatting at our booth for what seemed like an hour together, hearing all about her upcoming wedding celebration at Carneros Inn in Napa and her wonderful baby son Issac. After having the privilege to photograph Jessica + Simon's wedding, we have documented birthday parties for their kids (and they've come to Juniper's), had ice cream parties in Sausalito and most recently, took family photos with their newest addition, adorable Asher, already running around like a pro! We spent the afternoon together in Glen Canyon, a wild hidden treasure of a park in San Francisco, filled with magical light.

After witnessing this family celebrate so many milestones, we feel that they are part of our extended family. And just like that first meeting where we talked and talked about our lives, after this photo sesh in the canyon, we found ourselves carried away in wonderful conversation with Jessica, while the kiddos played with their dad in the jungle gym. There's always so much to catch up on, and future playdates to plan :)
