A few weeks ago we had dinner with our two darling friends, Caroline + Tristan, and Tristan told us about his family tradition of celebrating advent every Sunday in December. Inspired, we all decided to host rotating Sunday holiday parties. The first took place at our home last weekend, a holiday craft party. While Tristan put together a traditional advent wreath, the room was filled with many elves working on other crafts: Clio + Mark got knitting, Caroline bound a book, Matt worked on some handmade rope, Sam + I made a stuffed turtle for our niece, and to top it all off (and to make it a real craft party) Davia, of the amazing design blog, Wandern Vintage, was present and putting together some fabulous leather earrings.
