Bowerbird Photography Published in Atlas Quarterly

We are so excited that our photos have been featured in Atlas Quarterly, a magazine that showcases American craft and curio (our photos were also published in their premier issue with photos of Heath Ceramics). It's truly a honor to have our images in such a beautiful magazine! We worked on a piece about Voyager, a lovely little shop on Valencia street in the Mission. A day in the life of Kelley + Carter is an espresso-fueled, venti-sized dose of pure cuteness. Everything about them is adorable. Hollywood producers looking for the next romantic comedy in San Francisco might as well start the bidding on a script based on the loveliness of their life.

Perched in the cozy nest of their hip apartment, overlooking Alamo Square, the sun invites the two love birds outside, where they stroll hand-in-hand among the pink cherry blossoms in the park. They joke about their neighbors who live in the painted ladies: Responsible father, Danny Tanner, who raises his three sweet kids, DJ, Stephanie, and Michelle with the help of his goofball friends, Joey and Jesse. It's an idyllic life; the fabled S.F. fog can't seem to escape the sunset district, losing steam on its way up the sunny hill where they live.

Back at home, Kelley catches up on a little reading at their table, while Carter, a coffee expert, makes the perfect brew. He scoops his hands into burlap sacks full of green coffee beans straight from Yemen and Ethiopia, roasts them, and measures, weighs, boils, pours, smells, and tastes his way through an alchemic process producing a steaming glass of liquid magic.

Carter hands Kelley a mug of the stuff through the kitchen window, and they cuddle together on the fire escape to sit, chat, and while away a late Sunday afternoon.

San Francisco Engagement Photo Session on Bernal Hill: Aliza + Edward

Love blossoms in all sorts of locations and situations. Aliza + Edward met at law school at the University of Michigan, and helped each other thrive through their intense academic experience. And what's more romantic than having a cute study buddy to memorize flash cards with. When their studies were finished, Aliza (a San Francisco native) headed back to the Bay Area and Edward soon followed her to the golden state.

Now these two lovebirds are real-deal lawyers, but don't let that make you think they take life too seriously. When they are together, Aliza + Edward are ridiculously adorable, playful and more than happy to spend a weekend afternoon basking in the sun on Bernal Hill and admiring our SF cityscape, as they did during our photo session.

We are so happy they found each other! Truly a perfect match :)
