Traveling with Kids in California // Half Moon Bay

Just down the Hwy 1 is a magical little beach town called Half Moon Bay. We're still getting warm weather here in California and we were lucky to have two beautiful days on the coast. We stayed in a gorgeous beach cottage, that was literally across the street from the sea and a 20 minute walk to Main Street, where we got carrot cake and made a visit to the local library. We didn't get in the car once! It was lovely. And Nana and Babo joined us on the beach as well, happy to escape The City for the day.

Dr. Eric Goosby and the SI Alumni Medical Society

There was a time, not too long ago, that the fight against the AIDS epidemic looked hopeless and felt terrifying. Working with HIV/AIDS patients in the earliest days, to developing and implementing a global strategy as US Global AIDS coordinator, Dr. Eric Goosby is now the UN special envoy on tuberculosis. Despite his monumental resume, what's more inspiring is how humble and authentic he is, qualities that only reinforce his conviction that, with diligent action, we all have the capacity to make tremendous change in the world. It was an honor to hear him speak and photograph this event at SI last week. To see all the photos, click here.

Holistic Dentist Lifestyle Shoot

Is it a dental office... or a spa?! Wow, John VanCamp has the most gorgeous office and relaxing energy. Clients look forward to their appointments with him, where he works with the newest technologies in the most gorgeous setting.

We had the best time on this shoot, not only because John is so fun to hang out with, but also because we got to work with the amazing design team, Good Stuff Partners, who will be using our photos and doing a total re-brand of John's website!

A Fall Wedding at The Stone House in Nevada City // Liz + Scott

A love concoction bubbled wildly during the wedding ceremony! A bride's maid dressed up as Harry Potter during toasts. Fuzzy germs were handed out as prizes. Liz + Scott's wedding at the Stone House in Nevada City was a wonderfully unique expression of their love and life together. These weren't the only surprises -- there was also a petting zoo and a fuzzy slipper toss. The whole day was an unapologetic celebration of this super talented and visionary duo! We were thrilled to be there to photograph all the fun and love! There will never be another wedding quite like this one. Everywhere you looked, you could find little details and inside jokes telling the story of these two extraordinary people's lives together. We never did get the story behind the rubber duckies - you'll have to ask them. It's supposed to be a great story. Just like their wedding, these two go above and beyond. Congratulations love birds!!
